Welcome to the LifeWorkPlay website, introducing the range of coaching, consulting and counselling services offered by Lynne Spencer, helping clients to realise their potential in all areas of their life.

Lynne is a qualified psychologist who specialises in the development of people, whether at home or at work. She delivers realistic, practical and holistic solutions that incorporate a wide professional knowledge base and a client centred approach to both organisations and individuals.

An independent consultant and occupational psychologist since 1990, Lynne Spencer previously held several senior human resource positions within the BBC, including Senior HR Officer for Journalist Trainees and Press Officers, Head of Personnel for Finance, IT, Medical and Board Members and Assistant Head of Appointments. Her generalist experience as an HR practitioner has encompassed many occupational groups and levels.

Lynne is a newly retired Chartered Psychologist and holder of the British Psychological Society's Certificate in Occupational Testing. She is a qualified counsellor and has co-authored a major published research study, "Without Prejudice ? - Sex Equality at the Bar and in the Judiciary" and is also the author of "Life and Career", a workbook for managers. She has been a frequent speaker and lecturer on HR and development issues. Lynne was a member of the editorial board of the award – winning magazine, Coaching At Work and was an Associate of McKeown Psychology in Brighton. She designed and delivers the long running and popular ‘Career Coaching’ course for the CIPD.

Outside of paid work, Lynne has been a Trustee of a local hospice, a small dog rescue and a large animal rescue..
